WASHINGTON, D.C. — The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has announced an immigration enforcement operation targeting individuals from the West African sub-region. According to the department, 355 nationals are scheduled for removal, with Nigeria accounting for the largest share of the list.

Breakdown of Removals

Under the initiative, the DHS has confirmed the following distribution of individuals designated for return to their home countries:

       •  Liberia: 94

       •  Ghana: 30

       •  Senegal: 19

       •  Cameroon: 15

       •  Gambia: 14

       •  Ivory Coast: 14

       •  Mauritania: 12

       •  Cape Verde: 11

       •  Burkina Faso: 9

       •  Niger: 8

       •  Guinea: 6

       •  Togo: 6

       •  Mali: 5

       •  Benin: 1

       •  Guinea-Bissau: 1
