The album title, derived from the Yoruba language, translates to "Crown on the Head" or "The Crowned Prince," signaling an introspective yet confident celebration of the artist's decade-long reign at the forefront of the global African music movement.
Comprising 13 meticulously curated tracks, ORIADÉ features a high-profile lineup of guest collaborators spanning West Africa, Europe, North America, and emerging digital music spaces. The official tracklist announcement follows a strategic, multi-phase promotional campaign that began with the release of two high-impact lead singles designed to showcase the album's thematic range.
Davido first introduced the ORIADÉ era with the release of the lead single titled "I Know Who I Be," a collaborative effort featuring fast-rising musical talents JAZZWRLD and GL_Ceejay. The track serves as an anthem of personal identity, self-assurance, and gratitude, with lyrical themes reflecting on his journey from an emerging teenage producer in Lagos to a global stadium-headlining icon.
The official music video for "I Know Who I Be" generated significant emotional resonance among fans and cultural commentators. Directed as a reflective cinematic piece, the video features Davido returning to his childhood neighborhood and family home, incorporating nostalgic cameos from long-time team members, family figures, and key industry collaborators who supported his early musical career.
