Popular Nigerian TikTok streamer Peller has revealed that former Anambra State governor Peter Obi reached out to him about a possible livestream session on his platform ahead of the 2027 general election.
Peller, whose real name is Hamzat Habeeb Adelaja, made the disclosure during a TikTok livestream, clarifying that the proposed collaboration should not be interpreted as an endorsement of Obi or any other presidential candidate.
Peller Clarifies His Position
Addressing his audience, the content creator said he was not using the proposed livestream to promote a political candidate or persuade his followers to vote for Obi.
He said:
“Peter Obi reached out to me that he want to do a livestream with me. Before you people get the wrong idea, I’m not promoting any Presidential Candidate, and I’m not asking you to vote for Peter Obi. I just want to stream with him on my platform.”
According to reports, Peller explained that the proposed session could take the form of a question-and-answer interaction, allowing his followers to submit questions for the former governor.
No Date Announced for the Livestream
As of the time of the announcement, no confirmed date had been disclosed for the proposed livestream.
The development has attracted attention as Nigerian politicians increasingly explore social media platforms to communicate with younger audiences beyond traditional interviews, rallies and television appearances.
Obi has also appeared on livestreams hosted by other online personalities, reflecting the growing role of digital creators in political conversations ahead of the 2027 elections.
Peller, however, maintained that hosting the politician would not automatically mean he was supporting his presidential ambition.
