Mall shooting in Savannah, Georgia leaves 3 injured: Police

Police in Savannah, Georgia, responded to a mall shooting that left three injured with gunshot wounds, police said on Wednesday.

The incident occurred at Oglethorpe Mall, located on the south side of the city.

The victims include two young adults and one juvenile, who are all are expected to live, police said.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing, but Savannah Police Chief Lenny Gunther said it appeared to be two groups that were shooting at each other, likely known to each other.

Multiple agencies were dispatched to the scene.

Savannah Police said in an update on Wednesday evening that the mall had been evacuated and there was no longer an “active threat.”
